About White Castle

White Castle is a fast-food hamburger restaurant chain in the United States, known for its small, square hamburgers. The company was founded in Wichita, Kansas in 1921 and has since expanded to locations across the United States.

White Castle is known for its distinctive architecture, with castle-like buildings that feature white exteriors and blue roofs. 1. White Castle has been a fond destination, since I was a child. In the 60s, I would run errands with my Dad and we would come across one of Louisville’s MANY Castles – We would pull in and place our order and wait for our bag to be handed out to the car. No CRAVE CASES when I was a kid…While we were waiting, my Dad would tell me stories of his trips to White Castle, after his duties as a paper boy (!) I recall him telling me how inexpensive the burgers were. It was hard for me to imagine, since I recall that they were only 12 or 15 cents EACH when I was growing up!!
My Dad has been gone since 1979 – How I wish that he could accompany me to a modern Castle and relive some of our Saturday adventures… He would be amazed at the changes, but love how some things CAN remain the same…

  4. The food was the worst ever. It was obvious the burgers had been sitting for some time, as the edges were hard and had to be torn off, the fries went straight into the trash. I will never visit this store again, even though it’s in my neighborhood and it was recently remodeled. What a waste of resources.

  5. Dear Sir/Madam,
We entered White Castle about lunchtime in Sunbury, Ohio on August 28. The night before had been a really bad hotel experience and we had to snack instead of dine. So we told our autistic grandson with us that it was his choice for lunchtime and he saw the White Castle sign and was elated! (Well, it’s been a few decades since my wife and I have even been near a White Castle so we were happy with the choice too.)
We would like to express our appreciation for your employees’ diligence in wearing masks. In fact I noticed that all the employees were wearing their masks properly fitted. That shows me that white Castle is being conscience of caring for others. It may be your job to serve others but you have shown that you respect the precious life of others by wearing a mask, using sanitizer and keeping surfaces clean. This is a community effort that shows generosity and “love for our neighbor”. I only have to wear a mask a short while but to wear a mask for the duration of a shift must be difficult and has caused pandemic fatigue.
We would like to recognize Jason for his humorous way of attending the customers. He was so patient when listening to our grandsons corny jokes and was generous in sharing one of his own , making us all smile! An ancient proverb says: “Cast your bread on the waters, for after many days you will find it again.” Bread is the staff of life. To send it out on “waters” is to part with something valuable, (like our personal freedom or comfort). Yet, “you will find it again,” for in an unexpected way the generous one will be repaid!
And by the way, the burgers were great!
Thank you from Angel and Rhonda Rivera
